PINUKPUK, Kalinga (PIA) -- The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently provided agricultural tools and supplies to the Bago Farmers Association) in barangay Pinococ in this municipality for these agrarian reform beneficiaries to engage in organic vegetable production.
The farm tools worth P430,000.00 composed of three mini power tillers with complete accessories, three fabricated carbonizer/rice hullers, three brush cutters, 35 rubber boots, vegetable seeds, three spray cans with complete accessories 20L capacity two rolls hose, 30 grab hoes, 30 garden trowels, 30 rain burst sprinklers, 30 stackable crates, 30 bags vermicast at 50 kilos each, two bags urea fertilizers and three bags triple fertilizers were delivered on site by the Jerson Agricultural Supplies.
A test run on mini power tillers was conducted before acceptance and turn over to the Bago Farmers Association.
The project is under DAR’s Sustainable Livelihood Program that aims to enhance the living condition of families thru vegetable production. This can be of great help to supply the vitamins and minerals the body needs especially during this challenging time of COVID-19 pandemic.
