MSME help desk launched in Iligan

ILIGAN CITY (PIA) -- Feedback mechanism on business-related issues and concerns in this City will be strengthened after the launching of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) help desk.

Launched by the Chamber of Commerce And Industry Foundation of Iligan Inc. (CCIFI) in partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), this help desk will serve as a message center or information dissemination channel of the MSME on matters related to business scaling up operations or bridging the skill gaps.

During the Kapehan sa Iligan Chamber, CCIFII President Reggie Punongbayan said the help desk aims to "promote and safeguard the interest of MSMEs to realize their potentials as drivers of inclusive growth and development."

The help desk will receive inquiries, be it in person,  emails, or any form of social media consultation. These inquiries will then be transmitted to government agencies or organizations that can give feedback on the issue or concern.

DTI Iligan-Lanao del Norte Trade and Industry Development Specialist Ma. Welissa V. Domingo said the help desk will bridge the gaps or concerns between government agencies, private organizations and MSMEs.

Iligan Chamber also envisions that through the help desk, the business climate and the access to markets in the local, regional, international arena will be improved. (LELA/PIA-ICIC)
