ILIGAN CITY (PIA) --Senior citizens in this City will soon enjoy services and programs as a caravan is set to be launched here soon. 

Chamber of Commerce And Industry Foundation of Iligan Inc. (CCIFII) Chairperson for Committee on Senior Citizen Affairs Arturo San Luis shared in a ranepisode of Kapehan sa Iligan Chamber Wednesday, July 28, that a program is being initiated to provide services to senior citizens. He also said that a database of senior citizens’ information is envisioned to be established through the caravan.  

“Another purpose is to create a database of information on professional seniors, skilled seniors, seniors na mahilig sa kultura ug [those who are interested in culture] o music,” he said.

Services to be offered in this caravan include community pantry for senior citizens, medical aid, and a barangay entrepreneurship seminar. 

Iligan Chamber also partnered with Couples for Christ Seniors Iligan, Office of Senior Citizen Affairs, and Federation of Senior Citizens Affair Presidents for this activity. 

The caravan also seeks to provide livelihood and other economic opportunities for senior citizens. (LELA/PIA-ICIC/Lanao del Norte)
