CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 19 Farmer Cooperatives and Associations while 21 Local Government Units from the province have received agricultural projects from Department of Agriculture (DA) - 2 held at Isabela Experiment Station in Gamu town in July 23.

Department of Agriculture (DA) - 2 Director Narciso Edillo led the distribution of farm equiment to the intended beneficiairies citing that those were provided to increase their productivity and income. 

Among the agriculture equipment and projects that were distributed include 4-wheeled drive tractors, hand tractors with trailers, 4-wheeled drive tractors with precision seeders, cassava chippers, rice combine harvesters, spring development irrigation projects, pump irrigation systems for open source, rice combine harvesters with baler, and complete set of disinfection equipment for the prevention and control of African Swine Fever and other animal sickness.

Narciso said the multi-million agricultural projects for Isabela were funded under the rice, corn, and high value crops development program of DA-2.

Edillo urged the beneficiaries to use and take good care of the equipment and projects to increase their productivity and income.

Meanwhile, Provincial Agriculturist Marites Frogoso assured the DA that the provincial government through the leadership of Gov. Rodito Albano will always support  the programs and projects of DA as Isabela farmers will surely benefit from it. (MGE/PIA Isabela)
