TESDA provides starter tool kits to 160 STEP skills trainees

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, (PIA) - - The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) - 2 has provided tool kits to the selected trainees in San Mariano town under the agency’s Special Training Employment Program (STEP).

TESDA - 2 Director Archie Grande led the turn over of tool kits to the 160 trainees who are mostly came from the different barangays of San Mariano and some from Benito Soliven and Gamu towns. 

Grande said TESDA will be bringing skills training program in far-flung barangays in order that the people will have the necessary skills to use in their livelihood and can earn income for their families.

The turned over of starter tool kits are intended for Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II, Tailoring NC II, and Electrical Installation Maintenance NC II. 

Grande was joined by 95th Infantry Battalion Executive Officer Maj. Oscar Blanza, TESDA Isabela head Igmedio Casticon and TESDA Isabela Provincial Training Center Administrator Juliet Ramos. (BME/MGE/PIA Isabela)
