Some 48 patients and 320 employees with salary grade 12 and below including those who are Job Orders received P3,000 each through the DSWD Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program.

Ms. Aisyl Sagoso-Atal, Social Welfare Officer of DSWD Field Office IX in Isabela City said that AICS program is one of the programs of the DSWD where the office provides outright financial assistance in the form of cash to eligible beneficiaries.

DSWD Assistant Secretary Jade Jamolod and DSWD Regional Office IX also provided family food packs to the beneficiaries. This is an “ayuda” from the government extended to those who are affected by the COVID19 crisis.

DSWD Under Secretary Aimee Neri also attended the pay-out. In her short message to the beneficiaries she stressed that DSWD has always a room to bring government resources to the people and having the Malasakit Center here in Basilan through the initiative of Senator Bong Go is one way to provide health care services to the people in the province.
