Official Camsur vaccine cards to roll out very soon

PILI, Camarines Sur (PIA) -- Fully vaccinated individuals who have already obtained complete dose of their COVID-19 vaccine from the province, will soon receive their official Camarines Sur vaccine cards.

In a message from his FB page, Camarines Sur Governor Miguel Villafuerte announced that the province will soon roll out its official vaccine card to avoid falsification as the paper-made vax card can be easily reproduced and can be simply used as a document to enter other regions or for other travel-related purposes.

“Nagkusa na po ang Camarines Sur province na gumawa ng ating official CamSur vaccine card, dahil marami pong nag

papaabot sa akin ng impormasyon na yong existing card po natin ngayon, is papel lang, ballpen lang, madaling dayain, yong iba pa madaling mabasa, ,madaling mapunit. Parang credit card, matigas , madaling ilagay sa wallet at hindi sya madaling i-peke,” Villafuerte stated. (We took the initiative here at the province to come up with our official vaccine card after we have received information that our existing (vaccination) card, is only a piece of paper (with handwritten information) using a ballpen, so its easy to falsify. It can easily get wet or soaked and can easily tear. (Our official vax card) is just like a credit card, it is hard, can be placed in our wallets and can’t be easily falsified.)"

Villafuerte added that the official CamSur vax card contains secret inscription. It has also a QR code that contains details of the vaccinee. Once scanned, the said information can be easily verified thru the data base of the province.

The data base logged at the www.camsurvaccine.com contains details of the vaccinee, when the inoculation was made and who administered the jab.  It also contains a control number and is certified by the governor.

“May bagong kautusan ang IATF na pwede ng gamitin ang vaccine card for inter-province requirements. No need for swab, antigen or other requirements. Pero depende pa din sa LGU

kung nag higpit sila dahil dumami ang cases nila.  Pero pag paapasok sa Del Gallego border, and other parts of the province, accepted ito. Mas madali, less hassle at kahit papano unti unting bumabalik na tayo  sa pang araw araw na buhay, (The IATF issued a new directive, that the vax card can be used as inter-province requirements. No need for swab, antigen or other requirements. Though it still depends on the LGU if they have tightened their restrictions due to rise of cases, or similar situations, but the bearer can use their vax card at the Del Gallego border. The vax card is accepted. Little by little, I think we’re going back to normal.),” the Governor said.

Villafuerte is also encouraging Camarinenses to register at www.camsurvaccine.com for their jab schedule.

As of Aug. 10, the provincial government of Camarines Sur has already inoculated 135,000 residents. Through its aggressive vaccination campaign, the province wishes to vaccinate its 1.3M target population to achieve herd immunity. (LSMacatangay/PIA5/Camarines Sur)
