71 PWDs receive livelihood assistance from DTI

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - At least 71 persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the town of Delfin Albano, Isabela were given livelihood assistance by the Department of Trade and Industry Isabela’s (DTI) Tulong Pangkabuhayan program.

Winston Singun, DTI Isabela head, said that the DTI is continuously giving assistance to Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSME) and even individuals who are engaged in small businesses.

Singun said that those included in the provision of livelihood assistance are PWDs business owners in order for them to maintain an income during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

At least 67 PWDs with sari-sari stores, three with bakeshops, and one who is an online seller in the town of Delfin Albano, received the said assistance on August 12.

Each PWD entrepreneur received a P5,300 worth of commodities and grocery items for their respective businesses.

The DTI is continuously providing livelihood assistance to Isabeleno MSMEs in order to support them in this time of the pandemic. (JKC/MGE/PIA Isabela)
