PCOO Chief: Choose leader that exceeds PRRD’s accomplishment

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Aug. 18 (PIA) – Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin M. Andanar encourages the people to choose the country’s leader that can matchup or exceed President Roa Rodrigo Duterte’s (PRRD) vast accomplishments, he said during an interview over RMN-DXDR Dipolog, Wednesday.
 
“It is important to have this Duterte Legacy Communication Campaign para matagaan nato ang atong mga kababayan ug benchmark, o barometer o sukatan para sa pagpili nila karong muabutay na pilian, mupili sila og kandidato nga pwede tapatan ang gihimo ni presidente o higitan pa yung mga nagawa ni Pangulong Digong,” he said.

Sec. Andanar said the Duterte Legacy communications campaign is important as this effort hopes to disseminate down the Filipino people and make them understand the legacy that the president will leave the country.
 
Andanar enumerated some of the vast accomplishments of PRRD starting from the Freedom of Information (FOI ), Executive Order No. 2 “nga nag abri sa atong gobyerno para mahimo ni siyang transparent  ug makontrahan kining corruption.”
 
He said the efforts of the present administration also stripped us from the list  as one of the worst countries for journalists under the “Reporters without borders.”
 
The 29,000 kilometer road built under the Build, Build, Build Program should not go unnoticed as this has benefitted the Filipino people including more than 5,900 bridges and more than 150 thousand classrooms completed under the Duterte administration.
 
Andanar also emphasized the accomplishment relating to the  country’s major airport- the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from one of the worsts to the 10th most improved airports in the world.

Touching on agriculture development, Andanar said “ang atong farmers nakinabang sa Free Irrigation Act, almost a million farmers dili nagabayad sa ilang irrigation.”

He also enumerated the 1.6M students who benefited  from the free tuition fees, thanks to Free Tuition Act.

On drug-related efforts, Andanar said there are 1.2M drug users that have completed, undergone rehabilitation and were given assistance for a renewed life.
 
 

He also underscored more than 135 Malasakit Centers established all over the country that has benefitted poor patients coupled with the more than 109M Filipinos provided  each with insurance thru the Universal Health Care Law.
 
“Mga kabus na pasyente na wala nagbayad ug mga tambal ug pagpatambal tungod sa Malasakit Center ni Sen. Bong Go and Pres, Dutertet,” he said.
 
He also emphasized that people now feel safer compared years back, “atong mga kalye, streets, are back to the people,” as crime volume went down 64% starting July 2016 to June 2021.
 
“Grabe kaayo, ubay-ubay ang nahimo ni presidente more than 450 seaports , more than  214 airports; more than 229k hectare of land nahatag sa atong mang uuma, “ he said.  (EDT/JPA/PIA9-Zamboanga Sibugay)
