PCOO Chief: More jobs created under PRRD administration

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Aug 18 (PIA) -- President Duterte’s administration was able to create more job and equal opportunities for Filipinos through the implementation of the Build, Build, Build Program.

“We were able to generate 6.5 million jobs from 2016-2020,” Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar said during his interview in RMN DXDR, a local radio station in Zamboanga Del Norte today, August 18.

The secretary also stressed out the love and care of the President to those who were victims of job displacements especially this time of COVID-19 pandemic.

“This 2021, we are targeting to generate an additional 1.6 million jobs to contribute to the economic recovery as impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic,” Sec. Andanar affirmed.

Moreover, Sec. Andanar has also highlighted the administration’s efforts on making the transportation system of the country more efficient, faster, safer, and more comfortable.

As of June 2021, there are 214 airports and 451 seaports have been completed all throughout the President Duterte’s term as part of the Build, Build, Build Program.

To date, the administration have constructed 29,264 kilometers of road, 5,950 bridges, 223 evacuation centers, 150,149 classrooms, and 11,340 flood mitigation projects completed.

“We are promoting these legacies and achievements through the Duterte Legacy Campaign to provide and give a platform for the public a look into the government’s programs and services,” the secretary said. (RVC/EDT/JRA/PIA9-Zamboanga City)
