ZAMBOANGA CITY, Aug 20 (PIA) – The Department of Agriculture RFO-IX turned over one module livelihood package worth P1,637,119.00 to Maraya Farmers Association in Barangay Maraya, Vincenzo A. Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur on August 16.
The livelihood package is a Livestock-based Livelihood and Enterprise Development Program on Poultry Production. It is composed of free-range chicken (1,000) females (200) males, incubator with hatcher (3) units, feeds (288) bags, Drugs and Biologics, 12ft x 100-meter Net (20) rolls.
Barangay Captain Hon. Rodulfo V Bango and Mr. Diosdado S. Bogol, the President of Maraya Farmers Association accepted the project and were pleased with the livelihood assistance from DA-Livestock Program.
DA Regional Executive Director Rad Donn Cedeño led the turnover, together with RAFC Chairman Leonardo P. Caparida, and Regional Livestock Coordinator Dr. Darwin Lloyd D. Sulay.
Present to show support during the turnover ceremony were LGU officials headed by the Municipal Councilor and the Chairman for the Committee on Agriculture Hon.
