TRECE MARTIRES, Cavite (PIA) --The Cavite State University (CvSU) main campus in the municipality of Indang opened yesterday, August 23 as Indang Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.
This is in response to the alarming rate of transmission of CoViD-19 cases with the detection of confirmed Delta and Beta variants in the town.
Currently, the Indang Municipal Health Office reported a total of 218 Active cases with an average of 20 cases recorded daily.
The facility also aims to augment the shortage in isolation and medical facilities such as the Oplan Kalinga at Hacienda Isabela in Brgy. Carasuchi, and the Carmona Mega Isolation Facility of Region 4A that are now at full-bed capacity.
Mayor Perfecto Fidel personally inspected the opening of the facility together with CvSU President Dr. Hernando D. Robles.
“The challenges we will face in the ongoing fight against COVID19 may be heavy and long, but with our continued unity and action as one people, we will be able to do all this if we continue to exercise concern and unity,” said Fidel.
The chief executive is grateful to the CvSU and its officials for the initiative as well as for the assistance in many aspects such as technical assistance and facilities for the LGUs programs to continue to provide service to the residents and the frontliners in the midst of the ongoing pandemic.
