CSC announces workers anniversary activities in Cam Norte

DAET, Camarines Norte (PIA) -- The Civil Service Commision (CSC) here announced activities in line with the 121st Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service with the theme “Transforming Public Service in the Next Decade: Honing Agile and Future-Ready Servant-Heroes."

During an interview via Zoom at the “Talakayan sa PIA” cum radio program held Monday, Aug. 23, CSC Acting Director Atty. Alicia P. Salinas said that despite the pandemic, month-long  online activities for September were slated as a new way of rendering their services.

 CSC Camarines Norte will kick-off their activity on Aug. 31, 11:00 am through online or virtual mass that will be held at St. Peter the Apostles Parish, Vinzons town.

The civil servants are encouraged to join the Bicol Region’s “Zoombaile” on Sept. 2 with a minimum fee of P150.00 per participant. The proceeds from the event will go to the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani or PLBi program which honors government workers who died in the line of duty through one-time financial assistance and scholarship opportunities for the loved ones they left behind.

The “Zoombaile” is the Bicol version of Zumba that will kick-off nationwide activity along with film showing of CSC on Sept. 1 during the Week 1 or “Linggo ng Lingkod Bayani” aside from their virtual press conference.

There will also be a Regional Government Workforce Congress on Sept. 3 in Bicol. It can be accessed online until Sept. 20.

The CSC national activities for Week 2 or the “Linggo ng Paglilinang ng Yamang Tao” will be the 2021 Public Sector Human Resource Symposium with the theme: Transforming Government Agencies Into Smart Organizations: Honing Resilient and Future-Ready Public Servants on Sept. 15-17. This  three-day  virtual learning event will focus on the strategic  role of government leaders and HR practitioners in transforming government agencies into smart organizations. The nationwide activity of Tips for Plantitas and Plantitos, also for Week 2 was scheduled on Sept. 14 for Camarines Norte wherein they will invite speakers from the Department of Agriculture (DA) and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR). It is a one-hour session to discuss tips for planting and growing designed to build skills for hobbyists and enthusiasts.

For Week 3 or ”Linggo ng Malasakit," there will be a Q and A for Mental Health Wellness nationwide on Sept. 20 while in Camarines Norte this will be on Sept. 21. Health practioners will be invited to participate in the said  activity.

The 3rd week will also highlights the nationwide Government Online Career Fare slated on Sept. 20-24 in partnership with the JobStreet.com, an online event in which government agencies and jobseekers meet in a virtual environment to exchange information about job openings for one week.

In the province, the Camarines Norte Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners will be conducting outreach program in Our Lady of Guadalupe, Diocese Orphanage slated on the last week Sept. 28. 

There have been nationwide contests like the PCSA Photograpy Contest and National Song Writing Contest. The submission of entries ended but the awarding will be on Sept 22 and Sept. 23 respectively.

The nationwide activity for Week 4 will be the “Linggo ng Pasasalamat” which will be the Awards rites for the 2020-2021 Search for Outstanding Government Workers. It  aims to recognize outstanding contributions of national and local impact, and display of exemplary behaviour.

There will also be a virtual  appreciation program for frontliners  on Sept. 27 in honor of government frontliners and their priceless contributions in mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as other crisis experienced since last year.

Also a virtual online official family day will be organized by each government agencies for their employees  on the last week of Sept.

The whole month of Sept. will also be the special treat for government workers wherein some malls and department stores will give 20 percent discount.
