PRRD lauds TFBM collaborative effort for Marawi rehab

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur --President Rodrigo Roa Duterte commended the Task Force Bangon Marawi (TFBM) alongside the local government and its partners for their collaborative effort and hard work under the Bangon Marawi Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Program.

“The continued hard work of Task Force Bangon Marawi to accomplish the programs, projects, and activities under the Bangon Marawi Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Recovery Program is truly commendable. By rebuilding the lives of the displaced --- iyon ang pinakaimportante [that is what is the most important] --- families, restoring damaged properties, and revitalizing disrupted socio-economic activities, you have stayed true to your commitment as agents of progress and catalysts for real change,” he said.

Duterte also conveyed that they rejoiced as a nation as the Grand Mosque brings hope anew for Muslims considering that this is a place holding a historical and cultural significance in the lives of Maranaws.

He further recognized military and police personnel, and the local constituents for their bravery, sacrifice, and determination in defending the city after five years of battle.

“How sad it is. I pray to God that it will never happen ever, ever again,” said Duterte.

As the rehabilitation continues, the Chief Executive reassured the public that the government is striving to expedite the completion of all initiatives to bring back the city’s glory while fostering cooperation among stakeholders and securing the country against lawless elements including terrorism and violent extremism.

“With your support, I am confident that we will overcome any challenge that may test our strength and unity as a nation. Let us, therefore, continue working as one to secure a better, safer, and more prosperous future for all of Marawi,” he said. (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Sur)
