ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--To mark the celebration of this year's Consumer Welfare Month (CWM), the City Agriculturist’s Office (CAO) here promotes anew affordable local agricultural products through the Locally Sourced.
CAO Supervising Agriculturist Marie Ann Beley announced that they are once again opening the Locally Sourced starting Tuesday, October 19, until Saturday, October 30, wherein farmers are allowed to display their harvests at Robinsons Place Iligan with an inexpensive accommodation fee.
Beley detailed that through the CAO’s Agribusiness Division, they were able to negotiate with the Robinsons Place Iligan to pull down the set fee for selling farmers.
With this, consumers were encouraged to visit the showcased products in the mall and buy them at a lower price.
“We are inviting everyone to visit the Locally Sourced didto sa Robinsons [Place Iligan]... Ato gyud gipaningkamutan nga in relation to the celebration of this Consumer’s Month, ubos gyud ang presyo kumpara sa atong mga merkado dinhi sa dakbayan sa Iligan as far as agricultural commodities are concerned,” said Beley.
