CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)--The Police Regional Office (PRO)-10 heightens its capabilities in preparation for the upcoming All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day 2021 as Northern Mindanao commemorates the annual catholic celebration amidst the coronavirus (COVID)-19 pandemic.

“Nag-andam na ang kapulisan sa umaabot nga undas diri sa Region 10. (Our Police are already preparing for the upcoming festivities here in region-10, Police Brig. Gen Rolando Anduyan our regional director here in region-10 has already ordered our different unit commanders on the ground to coordinate closely with their local government units to synchronize our implementation of the guidelines in our respective communities)

Olaivar also underscored that they are now closely coordinating with Local Government Units (LGUs) in the region due to varying quarantine classifications in their respective areas of responsibilities for the mitigation of the COVID-19 contagion wherein some cemeteries are closed while other areas are open but subject to limited capacity.

The PRO-10 will also establish and deploy police assistance desks and road safety marshalls in strategic areas to ensure tight security and assistance for travelers coming in and out of the region while bolstering their information campaigns.

“We have directed our lower units na dapat visible sa mga kadalanan ang atong mga kapulisan (that our police officers should visible in our roads) especially from October 29 to November 2, para atong mga travelers from other regions or those coming from other places anytime kailangan nila ug assistance dali lang dayon ta maka react (So that our travelers from other regions or those coming from other places are ensured of swift assistance from our police),” she said.
