PCSO gives P43.7M medical aid to South Luzon indigents

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay (PIA) -- The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), through its Medical Access Program (MAP), released a total of P43.7M worth of medical assistance to 5,839 qualified beneficiaries in Southern Tagalog and in Bicol region, in October 2021 alone.

MAP is funded by revenues from PCSO games nationwide.

In its latest bulletin, about 15,754 more Filipinos in the country were able to receive assistance to augment hospital confinement, chemotherapy, dialysis, and post-transplant medicines.

PCSO has provided P33.5M of medical help to 2,833 indigents from the National Capital Region, and P52.1M to 5,490 individuals in Northern and Central Luzon.

Likewise, a sum of P31.3M and P30.1M was also utilized for 3, 681 eligible Filipinos in Visayas, and 3,750 in Mindanao, respectively. (KAVBernadas/PIA5)
