Batac hospital receives PPE donations from Sen. Gatchalian

LAOAG CITY, Nov 8 (PIA) – The state-run Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (MMMHMC) in Batac City

accepted the donation personally handed over by Senator Sherwin Gatchalian on November 6, Saturday.

A total of 14,050 personal protective equipment; 7,200 slippers; and 33,600 face masks were turned over which are intended for medical frontliners and workers.

“Nandito tayo upang magbigay ng suporta sa ating mga frontliner by way of donating these PPEs.

During the turnover ceremony, Dr. Jose B. Orosa III, chief of Medical Professional Staff of MMMHMC, interacted with the senator to discuss the hospital’s project for a cancer center in the province.

On one hand, Orosa thanked the senator for his donation as an added supply for the medical frontliners. Although COVID-19 cases are seen to be on downward trend, he said that the hospital continues on its operations- attending to critical and severe patients affected by the virus.

Aside from donation turnover, Sen. Gatchalian also visited and mingled with the transport groups in Laoag City and met with Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc. (JCR/VHS/MJTAB PIA Ilocos Norte)
