ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--To encourage more Iliganons to get vaccinated, the local government here launched a raffle for Iligan residents who have been inoculated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
The raffle dubbed "Let's Get Vax to Normal Iligan!" is open for Iliganons who will get their vaccine shots from November 5 to December 23, 2021.
Vaccinated Iliganons will be given a raffle ticket which must be dropped in the raffle box located in all the vaccination sites.
Among the prizes that will be raffled are five bikes, five MyPhone tablets, 50 sacks of rice, as well as cash incentives amounting to P10,000, P5,000, and P3,000.
The grand draw will be held live on December 23, 2021 via the official Facebook page of Vice Mayor Jemar “Monsi” Vera Cruz.
The conduct of the raffle is a move of the city government thru the vice mayor and in partnership with Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go to persuade more Iliganons to get their shots against the dreaded Covid-19.
"Magpabakuna kita isip atong parte nga maproteksyonan ang matag-usa. Mao ra gayud kini ang pamaagi nga matapos na kining pandemya ug makasaulog kita sa Covid-free Christmas ug New Year. Busa for us to get back normal, I encourage more people to get vaccinated," said Vera Cruz.
[Let's get vaccinated as our part to protect everyone. This is really the only way to end this pandemic and to celebrate Covid-free Christmas and New Year. So for us to get back to normal, I encourage more people to get vaccinated.]
Iligan City must inoculate 260,940 of its population to achieve herd immunity but only 64,568 Iliganons have been fully vaccinated as of November 2. (APB/PIA Lanao del Norte)
