Adivay vax booth opened at La Trinidad public market


LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA) -- The provincial government of Benguet thru the Provincial Health Office and the local government of La Trinidad opened the Adivay  COVID-19 vaccination booth at the public market parking area  here last November 8 in efforts to reach out to more people.

Among the first vacinees are 12 year old girl Kayleigh Fianza from Barangay Pico and Teresita Singao, a senior citizen.

PHO 1 Dr. Meliarazon Dulay said the vaccination booth is open daily from Monday to Sunday at 8AM to 2PM for the month of November as part of the 121st Benguet Foundation celebration thru Adivay 2021. But it can be extended until December if there are still clients.

Dulay said the vaccination booth which is very accessible to the general public will cater to all the eligible population including the pediatric group or the 12 to 17 year old group, the A2 or senior citizens and the rest of the population. The target is at least 100 daily.

“Maawis dagiti umili nga umay agpabakuna karkaru dagiti awan oras na nga maki pilpila ijay vaccination sites ti luglugar da (All residents are invited to come here for their vaccination  especially those who have no time to queue in vaccination sites in their areas) so we are opening this one for accessibility to the public,” Dulay said. Walk in clients are welcome.  
 
Vaccinees may be registered on site but they should bring with them identification cards.  The pediatric group should be accompanied by their parents or guardians

Meanwhile, Mayor Romeo Salda  said the new vaccination site will not only serve the residents of La Trinidad but those from other areas as well to help reach the herd immunity for the province.

“Iyasideg min ti vaccination iti ayan ti population tapnu agpavaccine kuman ti tadtao ti La Trinidad ken dadduma pay nga luglugar,”(We are bringing vaccination to population centers  so that  residents of La Trinidad and other  areas can get vaccinated),he said.
 
He thanked the doctors, nurses, medical and non-medical personnel and volunteers who continue to provide service to the people of Benguet including those who will be assigned for the month-long vaccination in the public market. (JDP/RMC- PIA CAR)
