TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan (PIA) - - The five candidates for the Governor-Nominee for Rotary Year 2024-2025 of the Rotary International - District 3770 conducted the first-ever candidates’ forum held at the House of Friendship, Tabe, Guiguinto, Bulacan. This was conducted in the hopes that only the best district governor should lead the 81 Clubs in District 3770.

The five candidates who presented their platform of governance are Past Presidents (PP) Judd Nazareno Dimalanta of Rotary Club (RC) Tuguegarao Rainbow, Paul Ruel Camiña of RC Metropolitan Malolos, Edwin Cariaso of RC Malolos, Fidelito Cunanan of RC Plaridel, and Julius Caesar Viron of RC Santiago.

The candidates were given 18 minutes to present their programs and projects as well as their vision gearing towards a better Rotary District in northern Luzon.

Each candidate faced the three Past District Governors Felix Domigpe, Celso Cruz, and Eric Wycoco as the committee for this year’s selection.  Three questions were posed for the candidates -- what are their legacies, their methodologies or frameworks, and their thoughts on the new "vote-by-mail" voting system.

Life-Changing District Governor Arturo “Art” Que requested all the clubs in the district to exercise their voting power this coming December 12 via e-voting as he assured that voting is based on the four-way test, and is fair and impartial.

Que is confident that voting by mail will be beneficial to all clubs and is equipped with accountability, responsibility, and transparency.

“You have rightfully heard from the candidates their desire to serve our District 3770. All our clubs must be enlightened and be empowered of our rights to select and vote the right rotarian to be our district governor for RY 2024-2025,” Que said.

The forum was attended by 81 clubs in District 3770 which included virtual participants who also took part in the question-and-answer segment.

The candidates’ forum was hosted by Rotary Clubs Guiguinto, Guiguinto Bloomingdales, and Guiguinto Suburbs. (JKC/ACD/PIA-2)
