Ilagan SK recognizes youth leaders on COVID-19 response

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela (PIA) - - The Sangguniang Kabataan Federation (SK) of this city has recognized 10 outstanding barangay youth leaders for their efforts in the fight against Covid-19.

City of Ilagan SK Federation President Nicole Lean Balingao said during the Network Briefing News program of the PCOO that it is necessary to recognize the efforts made by the barangays’ SK leaders so that they could be an inspiration to others.

Balingao said that SK leaders have implemented various activities in their own barangays to help the youth and the residents, and make them feel that the SK is with them in this time of the pandemic.

“Many of our fellow SK leaders in the barangays have conducted free module printings, online contests, and many others to help the youth, who are inside their houses, become busy and productive,” Balingao said.

She added that aside from online contest activities, the youth leaders also help the city government in the distribution of relief goods in the barangays.

The 10 outstanding SK leaders who were recognized were SK Chairman Melvin Adorable of Sta. Catalina, SK chairman Bryan Lucas Malenab of Brgy. Alinguigan 2nd, Leymar Valdez of Brgy. Bigao, Mark Jowel Cantor of Brgy. Cadu, Jerry Morado Jr. of Brgy. San Isidro, Richard Mata of Brgy. Cabisera 4, Bany Jane Riga of Brgy. Baculod, Felipe Palapuz of Brgy.
