SORSOGON CITY, Sorsogon (PIA) - - The joint forces of Sorsogon Provincial Police Office (SPPO) and Provincial Advisory Group   (PAG) have recognized the outstanding performance of Sorsoganon police officers in the "Oragon na Pulis 2021" awards. 

SPPO Provincial Director Police Colonel Arturo P. Brual, Jr. and PAG Chairman Edgar C. Balasta handed over plaques of recognition to the five awardees who bested 20 other nominees in the various public service categories. 

PAG Officer Prosecutor Regina Gabit, one of the panelists, said almost all of the nominees garnered high ratings as they exemplified and showcased their strengths in their respective fields and categories.

The winners include Police Lieutenant Colonel Jason Rey C. Colico of Bulan Municipal Police Sation (MPS) for the Police Commission Officer  Category, Police Staff Sergeant Diana E. Tolosa of Bulusan MPS for the Police Non-Commission Officer - Police Community Relations Category, Police Staff Master Sergeant  Ricky L. Gonzaga of Sorsogon City Police Station for the PNCO-Operations category, Police Staff Sergeant Ather Marz of Sorsogon City Police Station for the PNCO-Investigation Category, and Non Uniformed Personnel Rubelyn Liray of Barcelona MPS for the Non Uniformed Category.

Balasta, on his part, said the search for "Oragon na Pulis 2021" is one of the annual programs of the advisory council which has been supported by the Dr. Salvador “Tatay" H. Escudero III Foundation.

Representative Evelina Escudero, foundation's co-founder, said the annual search aims to give honor to the police officers for their dedication to service and unwavering efforts to ensure public safety during this time of pandemic. 

Provincial Director Police Colonel Arturo Brual also congratulated and expressesed heartfelt regard to the police force for their honest service to the people and urged everyone to carry on their dedication and commitment to public service. 

The awardees likewise expressed their gratitude to the Provincial Advisory Group of Sorsogon, the Sorsogon PPO and to the Dr. Salvador Escudero III Foundation for the award they received as they vowed to continue their selfless public service.( MBAtun/PIA Sorsogon)
