In a recent Network Briefing News interview, Gierson Bordon, president of the School Cluster Association (SCA) in Guiwanon, said that the establishment of SCA youth-oriented group is an innovation to aid distance learning.

“Our main objective dito sa aming association is to reinforce the implementation of modular learning sa aming area kasi geographically, ‘yung school namin ay may sakop na several island barangays,” Bordon said.

This initiative helped to manage the distribution and retrieval of modules especially when teachers are unable to visit islands due to inclement weather.

SCA also implemented Project SAVE (Share and Value Education) which banners the distribution of 143 education supply kits to the students of Cabalagnan National High School in Guiwanon.

Bordon mentioned that Project SAVE was organized with the help of teacher-facilitators, tapping school alumni and philanthropists.

The youth leader likewise posed a challenge to his fellow youngsters to be involved with the undertakings in school and the community.

“Let us continue to uphold the spirit of unity at pagtutulongan. Help one another even in your own little ways. This little help na maibigay natin can make a great impact,” Bordon stressed. (AAL/LML/PIA6)
