TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--Governor Imelda “Angging” Quibranza-Dimaporo appealed to the local chief executives (LCEs) of municipalities here and national government agencies (NGAs), to help in boosting vaccination rates in the province.
“Unta [Hopfeully] our LCEs, NGAs, will convince, try to make them [public] understand how important ang magpavaccine. It is not for ourselves but for those people whom we love na nagpuyo sa isa ka balay [who lives in one house],” said Dimaporo.
The governor was also elated after receiving a report from the provincial health office that as of yesterday, the vaccination rate increased from 19% to more than 40%.
“Dako kaayo ang improvement and once again i am appealing to this municipalities to support us in this pagvaccine sa atong kaigsoonan,” she added.
[There is a big improvement and once again I am appealing to the municipalities to support us in this vaccination rollout for our brothers and sisters.]
Dimaporo is also optimistic that the 70% target will be reached before the end of this year.
The governor also shared that she sought assistance from intelligence units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police to address the issuance of fake vaccination cards in the province.
