TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--Second District Representative Cong. Abdullah Dimaporo highlighted the significance of peace and order in the development of the province.
“Without peace and order, we will not succeed in developing our province,” said Dimaporo during the joint virtual meeting of the provincial councils for Development, Peace and Order, Anti-illegal Drug Abuse, and Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.
Dimaporo said the PDC should give a plan on programs that can help alleviate poverty. He emphasized that addressing poverty can also help achieve peace.
He shared that the provincial government has already coordinated with the Bureau of Soils and Water Management of the Department of Agriculture to identify what lands are best for places that are good for farming which can help in poverty alleviation.
“PDAC must also work because drugs destroy the character of our constituents who engage themselves in drugs,” he said.
Local government units and national government agencies recently convened to discuss updates concerning the development, peace and order, illegal drugs and security issues and ELCAC activities. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Norte)
