MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (PIA)—The Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur (PGLDS) urged all unvaccinated individuals in the province to take advantage of the National Vaccination Days and get themselves inoculated against the coronavirus disease (Covid)-19 for free.
The national government has slated November 29 to December 1, 2021 as National Vaccination Days to further accelerate the vaccination rollout in the country.
The three-day vaccination drive dubbed ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan’ will be held simultaneously in 16 regions and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
“Magpabakuna po tayo ngayong darating na November 29, 30 at December 1 para mareach natin yung 70-80% ng ating population, mareach natin yung herd immunity para magbalik na po yung dating ginagawa natin at maopen totally ang ekonomiya ng bansa at sa lalawigan ng Lanao del Sur,” said Provincial Vice Governor Mohammad Khalid “Mujam” Raki-in Adiong during the command conference and orientation on Bayanihan Bakunahan held at the Provincial Capitol Social Hall onTuesday, November 23.
[Let's get vaccinated this coming November 29, 30 and December 1 so that we can reach 70-80% of our population, let's reach herd immunity so that we can return to what we used to do and totally open the economy of the country and the province of Lanao del Sur.]
He also encouraged government employees and officials to be role models and be in the frontline to appeal to the citizenry to get vaccinated.
Lanao del Sur targets to vaccinate 300,000 individuals within three days.

Governor Mamintal Alonto Adiong Jr. appealed for cooperation and support of the Lanao del Sur residents by getting vaccinated during the Bayanihan Bakunahan.
“Sa lahat ng naninirahan sa lalawigan ng Lanao del Sur, kailangan natin ang suporta, kailangan natin ang teamwork, kooperasyon ng bawat isa. Sana po ang ating mga kababayan ay makisama at makicooperate at huwag matakot sa bakuna, safe at Halal po ito,” he said.
[To all the residents of Lanao del Sur province, we need the support, we need teamwork, cooperation of each other. I hope our countrymen will join and cooperate and not be afraid of the vaccine, it is safe and Halal.]
The Governor also called on two-way radio forums to help in advocacy and influence more residents to get vaccinated stressing that Bayanihan Bakunahan is not just a program of the national government but a program that is for the protection and welfare of all. (APB/PIA Lanao del Sur)
