ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--The Iligan Medical Society (IMS) has reiterated its full commitment to supporting the City in the fight against coronavirus disease 2019 (CoVid-19).

“Kami sa IMS are always at your back. We will always be there for you. Dili namo pasagdan ang mga tawo sa iligan,” said IMS president Dr. Arnel Debalucos during an episode of Kapehan sa Iligan Chamber. 

[We at IMS are always at your back. We will always be there for you. We will not abandon the people of Iligan.

Debalucos, who is also a neurologist, said that IMS members volunteer during the screening and monitoring process in vaccination drives against CoVid-19. 

The IMS president shared that before the pandemic, they have been organizing information drives in the communities to educate people about various infectious diseases. However, the pandemic prevented them from continuing this kind of effort.

IMS continued disseminating information about the importance of getting vaccinated. 

Debalucos shared that during their consultations with their patients, they encourage and educate them about getting vaccinated. 

“In our individual capacities, ang mga pasyente namo nga gapakonsulta, amo jud ginaencourage and educate [we encourage and educate our patients] about vaccination,” he said. (LELA/ PIA Iligan)
