BESAO, Mountain Province —Another Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) project in barangay Tamboan in Besao is now completed.
Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF ELCAC) and with the representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government –Cordillera conducted onsite monitoring of the three projects in said barangaylast December 2.
The team noted that the Improvement of Tambaon Barangay Road with project cost of P6 million is now 100 percent completed. This 142.5 meters double lane road which started construction last August is the second SBDP project in Tamboan to be finished.
The inspection team was composed of representatives from DILG-CAR, Philippine National Police, 69th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army, DILG-Mountain Province Department of Punlic Works and Highways, Provincial Engineering Office, Philippine Information Agency, Besao Municipal Mayor Johnson D. Bantog II and the barangay officials of Tamboan. Also present are contractors Murphy A Ruyagan and Berwil C Omengan.
During the exit conference, Eng. Joseph D Lopez of DILG-CAR presented the defects noted and recommendations on the three inspected projects. The team together with the project contractors agreed on correcting the defects noted on set target dates.
Tamboan is the lone SBDP beneficiary barangay of Mountain Province for 2021.
Under the SBDP of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict or the “whole of nation approach” to end insurgency, a recipient barangays is allocated P20 million for community development projects.
The is the second Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) 2021 project to be physically completed in Mountain Province.
