Hinaplanon villagers grateful for barangayanihan caravan

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--Following the successful conduct of the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan in Brgy. Hinaplanon here Saturday, December 11, citizens conveyed their gratitude for the services they benefitted from.

Resident Mae Flor Sigon shared she is thankful for the opportunity given to circumcise her son for free while the academic break is still on and the face-to-face classes have not yet resumed.

Rosalie Abrau, who also brought her child to be circumcised, stressed that the event let them save financially.

“Niapil mi kay dako kaayo ni og ikatabang kay makasave pud mi kay libre man. Dako kaayo siya og ikatabang sa amo kay ang among budget unta para ibayad sa doctor, masave pa gyud siya namo… Nagpasalamat ko nga naa gyud libreng tuli,” she said.

[We joined because this is a big help as we can save since this is free. This is a big help to us since our budget which is supposed to be our payment for the doctor, we can save it already. I am really thankful there is free circumcision.]

Judy Tanduyan who likewise made her son avail of the free circumcision affirmed that the program was a significant help, especially for parents like her who do not have the budget for such a service.

Meanwhile, resident Rosendo Labrador was a blood donor in the caravan who recognized his participation as timely in this time of pandemic. 

“Dako kaayo ni og ikatabang kay ang uban need gyud kaayo nila ang dugo… Pasalamat mi sa mga nagdumala aning kalihukan,” he said. 

[This is a big help because others are really in need of blood… We thank the organizers of this event.]

During the barangayanihan caravan, at least 50 young boys were circumcised while 50 adults were seen to have donated their blood. (CRG/PIA-Lanao del Norte)
