CAMIGUIN (PIA)—Boosting efforts to maintain a safe and secured province, the Philippine National Police (PNP)-Camiguin recorded only 3 index crimes, and 15 non-index crimes from October 1-December 6, 2021.
PNP-Camiguin Acting Provincial Director PCol Elias Hampac said among the crimes recorded in the province include traffic accidents (3), rape (3), physical injury (1), robbery (1), and theft (1).
For peace and order indicators, there are 18 total number of crimes in the province of which 16 crimes were cleared and 5 crimes were solved. In the same period, PNP-Camiguin marked 100% on crime clearance efficiency and crime solution efficiency.
In the fight against illegal drugs, there were three operations conducted in the province and three persons were arrested. The total value of the seized illegal drugs amounted to P2,846.81 that included 0.38g of shabu and 1.98g of marijuana.
Maintaining a peaceful place, PNP-Camiguin conducted two Kontra Boga operations where two persons were arrested and one small arm was confiscated.
Aside from solving crimes, the said office also held 18 operations against illegal gambling of which they were able to arrest 41 persons and confiscated P20,182 for 2021.
They also aided in the conduct of the Bayanihan, Bakunahan or the National Vaccination Days where 63 PNP personnel were deployed in 11 vaccination sites and 8 were assigned as security escorts for the delivery of vaccines. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
