Legazpi City Mayor Noel Rosal bags the 2021 Outstanding Mayor for Good Governance Award by the National Coordinating Body of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines (NCBUCP) Inc.
LEGAZPI CITY, ALBAY (PIA) - - The National Coordinating Body of UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines Inc. (NCBUCPI) has declared Mayor Noel Rosal of this city as the Outstanding Mayor for Good Governance in the Philippines for 2021 anew.
Rosal received the same award in 2018.
On November 29, NCBUCPI President Professor Ronel Villanueva and Chairperson Dr. Serafin Arviola Jr. informed Rosal that he is one of the 2021 Outstanding UNESCO Club public servant awardees in the good governance category.
Rosal said this year’s recognition is a result of the city government's remarkable implementation of programs and projects on solid waste management, infrastructure development, risk reduction, and improvements in tourism, culture, bio-diversity, and educational systems.
With the award, the city mayor is hopeful for new investment opportunities to improve the social progress and economic expansion of the city to enable more job opportunities.
NCBUCPI is an association of all accredited UNESCO Clubs in the Philippines which aims to be a key player in mobilizing support for UNESCO’s ideals and missions.
