ISABELA CITY, Basilan, December 31 – The local government of Isabela City de Basilan under the administration of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman recently turned-over the checks to the eight HAPIsaBIDA (HAPIsabela Business Investment and Development Academy) 2021 awardees.

HAPIsaBIDA business award is a P30, 000 start-up capital given to those qualified beneficiaries who submitted their business proposal.
 
Among the eight Best Business Plans awarded were HAPIsabibingkabela, Cubo de Sorpresa, May BAG-asa sa Basura, Organic Agri-Ventures, JRJ Barbershop and Friends, Sanyang Tennun, Mangan Ne! Yakan Kaddayan and Plantityres. Their products can be bought at Cyberzone Building, Barinaga St., Barangay Marketsite.

In her message, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman reiterated the need to raise and enhance local business potentials of Isabeleños and in Isabela City.  
 
"Dapat ang talagang goal natin ay maiangat ang kabuhayan nila, ang goal natin ay lumago ang negosyo nila kaya naipanganak ang HAPIsaBIDA”, Mayor Turabin-Hataman said.
 
The team of the beneficiary-awardees shall also be required to undergo a 6-month of Business Development Incubation and Mentoring Bootcamp under the auspices of HAPIsaBIDA Academy to ensure the sustainability of business venture.
 
HAPIsaBIDA 2021 is the first HAPIsabela Business Idea and Development Award which is an initiative borne out the various livelihood assistance emanating from or funded by the LGU, national agencies and other program partners. (EDT/NDR/PIA9-Basilan with reports from CIO Isabela City)
