P45M poured in TUPAD year-end payouts

During the year-end TUPAD payout in the province through the convergence efforts of DOLE-QFO and Provincial Government through the PESO.

CABARROGUIS, Quirino  (PIA) - - A total of P45 million has been released during the series of payouts for the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program beneficiaries on Dec. 28-30, 2021 here through the convergence efforts of the DOLE-Quirino Field Office (QFO) and the provincial government through the  Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

DOLE Provincial Director Laura Diciano said the series of payouts was made possible through the said funds which was awarded by Labor Chief Silvestre H. Bello III to Regional Director Joel M. Gonzales recently.

The first of the series of payouts was held on December 28, 2021 at the towns of Cabarroguis and Aglipay with 2,227 beneficiaries.

The payouts  for  the  2,378 beneficiaries from Diffun and Maddela  was held on December 29, 2021 while  the  third and last in the set of payouts were held earlier for beneficiaries of Saguday and Nagtipunan.

Each beneficiary received P3,700.00 for 10 days of work on agro-forestry community projects.

“Personal protective equipment and several orientations on safety and health were provided to the beneficiaries to ensure a safe and thorough implementation of the program,” Diciano said. (MDCT/TCB/PIA Quirino)
