CEBU CITY, Cebu, Jan. 5 (PIA) -- The Philippine Air Force-Tactical Operations Wing Central (PAF-TOWCEN) has delivered relief goods in a form of family food packs (FFPs) to various areas in Central Visayas affected by the onslaught of Typhoon "Odette" (International name: Rai) on Dec. 16, 2021.
The PAF-TOWCEN delivered a total of 10,050 family food packs from Dec. 19-28, 2021 that were given by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 7.
During the same period, they also turned over a total of 11,500 FFPs for distribution to the victims in Central Visayas.
As of Dec. 28, PAF-TOWCEN has delivered relief goods to several municipalities in Bohol, namely: 866 FFPs to Panglao; 2,416 FFPS to Ubay; 1,918 FFPs to Carlos P. Garcia; 1,550 FFPs to Bien Unido; and 2,000 FFPs to Inabanga.
Meanwhile, 1,800 family food packs were also delivered to Olango Island in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.
Aside from food packs, they also delivered 250 hygiene kits from the Department of Health Region 7 and 355 Jerry Cans to Ubay and Carlos P. Garcia in Bohol.
Additionally, PAF-TOWCEN brought 233 mineral water bottles with 117 distributed to Panglao, Bohol while the remaining 116 bottles were given to Dumaguete, Negros Oriental.
During the meeting with RDRRMC-7 on Dec. 30, PAF-TOWCEN said they will continue to provide logistics assistance to DSWD and other frontline government agencies in delivering and distributing more relief goods in the following days as so the help and assistance provided by the government will reach to those victims of the Typhoon in Central Visayas.
