BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - - Officials of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) have encouraged local government units in Cagayan Valley to update their Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage (S-PASS) to guide travellers.
“LGUs need to update their travel protocols and requirements to guide our travellers especially this current year,” Vince Carreon of the DOST said.
According to Carreon, the S-PASS has been one of the most useful reference for commuters and travellers in terms of current restrictions imposed by concerned LGUs due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that the S-PASS is now widely used with 6 million users at present, and has 91 percent utilization nationwide.
Carreon made the call during the recent virtual meeting of the Regional Inter-Agenct Task Force on COVID-19. (JKC/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
