ISABELA CITY, Basilan, Jan 18 (PIA) – A total of fifty (50) families in Lamitan City received their new house on January 14 during the turn-over of houses on stilts by the National Housing Authority.
These 50 houses on stilts are part of the P20M IP Housing project of the National Housing Authority (NHA) given to Sama Bajau and Sama Bangi-ngi of Barangay Kulaybato in Lamitan City, in partnership with the local government of Lamitan to build 100 houses for DeleteThe said project was started in 2018 with funds from the NHA. The implementation is under the local government unit. The IP Leaders identified target beneficiaries and were validated by the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP). Engr. George Jucutan, Provincial Director of NCIP Basilan said that the project is specifically intended for the indigenous people as part of the programs in promoting their welfare and development.
