Bohol requires VaxCert, vax card for inbound travelers

CORTES, Bohol, Jan. 22 (PIA) -- As Bohol implements the National inter Agency Task Force resolution placing Bohol under Alert Level 3, entry to Bohol requires the vaccination card or vaccination certificate for the fully vaccinated travelers.

Executive Order No. 4, series of 2022, which Bohol Gov. Arthur Yap signed on Aug. 14, 2021 and took effect on Jan. 16, 2022, implemented IATF Resolution No. 157-A, series of 2022 which placed Bohol back to Alert Level No. 3 from Jan. 16 to Jan. 31.

The new order is in line with no obstructed inter-zonal and intra-zonal travel, and emphasizes a previous Executive Order No. 1, series of 2022, which shall remain as guide for inbound travel.

For partially vaccinated or non-vaccinated travellers, they must present a negative test result for COVID-19 through a swab sample placed under a Reverse transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) from a Department of Health-accredited molecular laboratory.

The test result should be taken within 72 hours prior to travel to Bohol.

Since vaccination for minors below 12 years old have not yet started, Bohol exempts these children from presenting a negative test result via RT-PCR, as long as they travel accompanied by a fully vaccinated parent or guardian.

While other areas may still demand for a valid S-pass, Bohol has decided to forego with the travel requirement which necessitates an online transaction, as internet connection may still be a challenge after Typhoon Odette.

With the local order, the Department of Education in Central Visayas immediately issued a suspension of all classes from Jan. 24 to 31.

Alert Level 3 also comes with it the clear mandate against contact sports, fun fairs, kid amusement industries, entertainment businesses with live voice and blow-wind instruments, theaters, casiinos, betting shops, cockfighting, as well as gathering of individuals not belonging to a common household.

The new E.O. also reiterates the 30% indoor venue capacity as long as these people are fully vaccinated, and 50% capacity for outdoor venues. (RAHC/PIA7 Bohol)
