DOLE-SEnA settles over P60K workers' monetary claims

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA) - - The Department of Labor and Employment 2 through its Quirino Field Office recently solved labor disputes on monetary claims amounting to P69,200.00 filed by three workers against three establishments in this province.

DOLE-QFO Chief Laura B. Diciano who is also the  designated Single Entry Approach Desk Officer (SEADO) of the DOLE provincial office said that three workers, namely: Louella Macato,  Alvin Mangupag and Leo Boy Tying filed for Request for Assistance before their office to resolve issues against their employers involving non-payment of wages, holiday pay, premium pay, 13th month pay and refund for cash bond.

"We immediadely initiated conciliation-mediation conferences which resulted in the speedy settlement of the received requests," Diciano said.

Diciano said under the SEnA, there's a 30-day mandatory conciliation-mediation which seeks to provide a speedy, impartial, inexpensive, and accessible settlement services for unresolved grievances and complaints arising from employer-employee relations.

Macato, sales associate/administrative officer from Saguday was granted ₱60,000.00 representing her unpaid wages for 3.5 months, holiday pay, premium pay and pro-rated 13th month pay from her company.

On the other hand, Mangupag, former driver from Diffun town received ₱4,200 covering his cash bond from his former company while Leo Boy A. Tying, former sales associate, got paid for his 13th month pay amounting to P5,000.00.

Meanwhile, the field office has achieved 100% settlement and disposition rate for the RFAs received. (MDCT/TCB/PIA Quirino)
