DOH urges public to request new QR code for VaxCertPH

CALOOCAN CITY, (PIA) – The Department of Health (DOH) on Monday urges all citizens who were able to generate COVID-19 vaccine certificates before February 7, 2022 to request for a new version of VaxCertPH.

The DOH stated that the VaxCertPH has an updated version with new features, encouraging the public to get a new certificate in the portal.

“We encourage everyone to regenerate their VaxCertPH to ensure their QR codes include these new enhancements,” the DOH said in their social media posts on Monday, Feb. 7.

The health department noted that the QR code in the previously generated certificates will become ‘outdated’ and ‘unreadable.

The public can generate their new QR codes through vaxcert.doh.gov.ph or visit the local city hall where they had their vaccination.

For individuals who still don’t have VaxCertPH, they can get their vaccine certificate 48 hours after getting fully vaccinated.

VaxCertPH is the official digital vaccination certificate issued for Filipinos or foreigners vaccinated in the Philippines. This certificate contains vaccination data from local government units which can be used for travel within the country or for international travel.

For other vax certificate concerns, email vaxcertsupport@doh.gov.ph or contact 88-7614-88. (JMB/PIA-IDPD)
