ILOILO (PIA) - - Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General, Secretary Isidro S. Lapeña personally turned over the Certificate of TVET Program Registration for Organic Agriculture Production NC II to the local government unit of Tubungan, Iloilo. 

The Certificate of TVET Program Registration was received by Mayor Roquito Tacsagon  in a simple turn over ceremony held at the Tubungan Skills Training Center on February 11, 2022.

The newly accredited Tubungan Skills Training Center, an LGU run training center located at  the village of Bacan, is one of the 10-point priority thrusts of the present administration. Its establishment has helped intensify livelihood and employment programs, organic agriculture and Coconut Industry Development programs and the creation of full-fledged skilled workers in the municipality. 

Lapeña, in his message during the turn-over, committed to fully support the training center by granting scholarship programs.

The project is a collaborative endeavor of the local government unit with the initiative of its Public Employment Service Office thru its Labor and Employment Officer Mrs. Emelyn Tano, and office of the Municipal Agriculture with assistance from National Agencies, particularly the TESDA, municipal Officials and other local stakeholders.
