DPWH opens Angeles City bridge

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) -- Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) formally opened to motorists the Anunas-Cuayan Bridge in Angeles City.

The P43 million, 30-meter-long four-lane bridge was implemented by DPWH Pampanga 3rd District Engineering Office.

It is connected to a 1.98-kilometer bypass road that was completed in 2020.

“This now serves as an alternate route for motorists traveling from barangays Anunas and Cuayan, as well as those heading to Friendship Highway and Clark as they can save at least 15 minutes of travel time,” Assistant District Engineer Arnold Ocampo said.

Ocampo reiterated the importance of the continuous construction of infrastructure facilities for the benefit of DPWH’s various stakeholders and at the same time support the efforts of local government units in strengthening local economies.

Meanwhile, District Engineer Arleen Beltran said this is just one of the agency’s projects that will help continuously improve accessibility and connectivity in Pampanga. (CLJD-PIA 3)
