The ZCPO established the highest rating of 98.84% in crime solution efficiency for index crime and 99.39% for non-index crimes, which overtook other police stations in the country.
“The LGU ensures its unrelenting support to the ZCPO and Joint Task Force Zamboanga (JTFZ) for the best interest of the constituents,” Mayor Beng Climaco said.
In a special ceremony held recently in front of the Zambo City hall, the mayor awarded a certificate of commendation to the local police men and women through Acting City Director PCol Alex Lorenzo.
Certificates of recognition for their vital contribution in steering to achieve this highest feat were presented to former ZCPO Director PCol Rexmel Reyes and also to PMaj Elmer Solon who is Chief of the Investigation and Detection Management Unit.
After the awarding, the ZCPO, JTFZ and traffic enforcers received some 63 motorcycle units from LGU as part of its commitment to security.
The motorcycles consisted of 50 XRM and 13 CRF units that costs a total of P5.95-million pesos with funds taken from the peace and order program of the City Mayor’s Office under supplemental budget 3 for fiscal year 2020.
To note, the current administration has provided the biggest allocation ever for the police and military which led to improved business climate and the achievement is the second in 3 years under the current administration. (RVC/JRA/PIA9-With reports from Zambo City Government)
