ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--Exclusive schedules for the vaccination against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID19) of children aged 5 to 11 are set here to avoid medication errors.

The vaccination site in Adventist Medical Center is open every Wednesday while other kids can get vaccinated every Friday and Saturday in Robinsons Place Iligan. All vaccination sites are open from 9 am to 3 pm.

Acting City Health Officer Belinda “Bunz” Lim said those who are 12 years old and above may get their 1st dose, 2nd dose, and booster shots in Gaisano Iligan from Monday to Saturday and in Robinsons Place Iligan from Monday to Thursday.

Lim also said that people from the grassroots community may get vaccinated through the Resbakuna Vaccination Units (RVU).

“Dili nato kalimtan aduna tay RVU tua na sa lahi-lahi na barangay, ngadto sa 7 disitricts. Pamatii lang kung kanus-a ang sched sa inyong mga barangay. Aron didto namo magpabakuna,” she said.

Based on Philippine Statistics Authority’s projected population for 2022, a total of 57, 480 kids in the city are targeted to be vaccinated. (LELA/ PIA Iligan)
