CITY OF TABUK, Kalinga (PIA) - - Some 9,332 Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) registrants in the province have already received their Philippine Identification (PhilID) cards.
Based on the report of Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-Kalinga, Philpost in the province received 11,464 PhilID cards, of which 9,332 were delivered to the owners.
Individuals who have registered during the second quarter of 2021 or seven months after registration may bring their claim stub and check with Philpost Kalinga as there are still 2,132 PhilIDs that are undelivered, as of February 23.
From May 31, 2021 to February 23, 2922, there are 112,011 individuals in Kalinga who registered in the national ID system.
Christian Dacpano of PSA-Kalinga said three municipalities namely Lubuagan, Rizal and Tinglayan are all covered under the National ID System.
Registration in Balbalan is temporarily suspended on request of the local government unit due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The LGU has yet to issue a resumption order or advice to resume registration.
In Tanudan, registration has not resumed in the three remaining barangays since PSA is looking for a location with internet connection.
Registration is on-going in barangays Balatoc in Pasil, Colayo, Allaguia in Pinukpuk and Magsaysay in Tabuk City. There are nine barangays in Pinukpuk and 10 in Tabuk City that are still to be reached.
PSA advises walk-in registrants to visit the PSA Kalinga office at Balinag Street (between SWAD Office and DeSame Hardware), Purok 4, Bulanao, from Monday to Saturday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. They should bring valid IDs or original birth certificate.
