ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) -- Philippine Information Agency - 6 OIC regional head Jemin Guillermo has called on local tri-media practitioners to sustain their support in the government's campaign for inclusive and sustainable peace as part of the Whole-of-Nation Approach to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) in the country.

She stressed that the campaign against terrorism is the battle of all to make it work, adding that "when the peace and development are affected, our future will also be affected."

The region's top government information authority also underscored the role of each family in guiding their children especially that among the targets of the Communist Terrorist Groups in its deception and recruitment are the youth.

"We are parents and we don't want anything bad for our children to happen," she said, apparently taking it from the heart, in reference to an earlier video documentation on the agonies experienced by the mothers whose children have been recruited by the CTGs and died in an encounter with the government troops as presented by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) - 6 during the Capiz - leg of the Dialogue with National Anti-Money Laundering/Combating Financing Terrorism Coordinating Committee and Covenant Signing for Peaceful Elections by the RTF-ELCAC 6.

"We need each one of you to become communicators, to be real information officers, real messengers and duty bearers of the correct, truthful and factual information to further expose the terroristic activities, harassments and threats of the CTGs to the people," she noted. (JBG/AAL/PIA Capiz)
