DOST boosts Ifugao school’s K-12 educational system

LAGAWE, Ifugao (PIA) -- The implementation of the K-12 educational system of the Namulditan Senior High School (NSHS) in Hingyon town gets a boost from partner agencies.


The NSHS,  the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Hingyon local government unit signed a memorandum of agreement for a community- based project dubbed “Strengthening of NSHS’s  Capabilities for Skills Training and Production of Veggie Bread: A Science and Technology Support to the K-12 Educational System” under the  DOST’s Local Grants-in-Aid (LGIA).


The project aims to strengthen the capability of NSHS in the implementation of the K-12 offering technical vocational livelihood and establish an income generating project on vegetable enriched bread production.


Interventions for the project include the provision of production facilities/equipment; technology training on veggie-bread production, product costing, laboratory services, initial appropriate packaging and labeling and other related needed assistance.


The LGIA program aims to harness the country’s scientific and technological capabilities to spur and attain economic growth and development through funding of relevant science and technological undertakings. (JDP/MBL- PIA CAR, Ifugao)
