ILOILO CITY (PIA) -- Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Jose Ruperto Martin M. Andanar stressed during the recent Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Appreciation Day that he allows failure for all employees to continue trying.
"I always allow failure because if you don’t allow failure, people will become scared to try," Sec. Andanar said in his virtual message.
The PCOO Chief was the guest of honor and speaker during the first-ever PIA Appreciation ceremony held in the afternoon of April 6, 2022.
The event was attended virtually by the men and women of the entire PIA organization.
Also, Andanar cited the challenges he faced six years ago because he did not receive a transition plan during the change of administration six years ago.
“We must take the transition plan very seriously especially since PIA has done a lot of things in the past six years,” he added.
But with the current developments and improvements in the programs and services of the Agency, Sec. Andanar reminded all the employees to be mindful of the transition plan.
This is to ensure the sustenance of the current undertakings of the PIA according to its mandate.
The Appreciation Day was dedicated by the men and women of the Philippine Information Agency for PCOO Chief as the current administration is nearing to its term-end.
On the other hand, some PIA employees, from both the central and regional offices, also expressed their respective testimonials of gratitude to the Secretary.
“To Sec. Andanar, we present to you a Philippine Information Agency that is grateful, that is joyous, that is hopeful,
positive and optimistic to the years to come,” said PIA Director General Ramon Cualoping III as he proudly presented how the agency has improved in almost six years under the Secretary’s leadership.
