NCIP okays Isinai tribe CADT bid

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) - The National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) has approved the Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title (CADT) application for the Isinai tribe.

Lawyer Roderick Iquin said the CADT application of the Isinai tribe was approved by the NCIP Commission En Banc in December 14 last year.

He said the CADT covers 11,586 hectares of  the 22 barangays within  the towns of Dupax del Sur, Bambang, Aritao and portions of Sta. Fe.

"We are now in the process of facilitating the other requirements needed," Iquin said.

Engineer Sonny Willie, NCIP Focal Person for Ancestral Domain said there are 630 CADT applications being processed by their agency.

He said only six of these applications have been approved as of the moment. (MDCT/BME/PIA Nueva Vizcaya)
