SM City opens in Roxas City

ROXAS CITY, Capiz (PIA) -- A supermall of the SM Prime Holdings, Inc. officially opened its doors, April 8, in Roxas City to bring many
“first in the city” in shopping, leisure and entertainment amid the relaxed COVID-19 restrictions.

SM City Roxas is SM Prime Holdings, Inc.’s 79th supermall and the
third in the Western Visayas region after SM City Iloilo and SM City
Bacolod.

Aside from the wide array of “new  offerings,” the newest shopping and lifestyle destination is also a home to well – loved Capiceño brands that include family foodie favorites like Bread Basket, Ocean Catch, Lloydie’s Café and Piyesta Ilonggo.  The mall had its blessing and ribbon cutting ceremonies that were graced by SM Prime Holdings Inc. President Jeffrey C. Lim,

SM Supermalls President Steven T. Tan, SM Markets Chair Herbert T. Sy, Capiz 1st District Representative Emmanuel A. Billones, Capiz Governor Esteban Evan B.

Contreras and Roxas City mayor Ronnie Dadivas, among others, on April 7.

Strategically located in a 102,309 sq. m.  site along Arnaldo Boulevard in Brgy. Baybay, which used to be largely a fishpond area, the mall will serve customers in Capiz and adjacent provinces of Aklan and Antique.

The two-level 41,000 square meter mall’s façade features geometric bands in varying shades of blue, tying it to the river behind the complex and the nearby Jintotolo Channel.

The commercial center has 961 parking slots for its customer’s convenience and enhanced malling experience. (JBG/AAL/PIA Capiz)
